Web13 apr. 2024 · The eminent theatre began life as a touring mobile theatre from Leicester called the “Blue Box”. Created to bring plays to small towns after the war, it first visited Keswick in 1961. When it was no longer fit for touring, the Blue Box found a permanent home in the town until it reopened in the current building in 1999.
